Daisuke Miura potudo-ru
Playwright, Director, Film Director, Leader of potudo-ru
Born in 1975 in Hokkaido. Graduated from Waseda University and created the theatre company potudo-ru in December 1996. Since then he has written and directed all its productions. He won the Kishida Kunio Drama Award for "Ai no uzu" (Love's Whirlpool) in 2006. His work on film includes "Boys on the Run" (2010) (screenplay, direction), as well as co-directing "Hatsukoi" (First Love) in 2003 with Makiko Mizoguchi. His play "Uragiri no machi" (The Town of Betrayal) was produced by PARCO in 2010, and in February 2011 he directed Neil LaBute's "The Shape of Things" at the Aoyama Theatre.
