Daniel Kokdiskodanny
Artist, Choreographer, Dancer
He studied BA (HONS) Fine Art and Critical Theory at Goldsmiths College (London) under a Public Service Commission scholarship (Singapore). He also received a Certificate in Choreography at the Laban Centre during that time. In 2007, The Straits Times listed him as number 1 in the "Faces to Watch" category. "Vermillion" was also voted as one of the top 5 performances of that year. In 2008, Daniel was given the Young Artist Award (Dance) by the National Arts Council (Singapore). In 2010, Daniel moved to Berlin to pursue the MA Solo/Dance/Authorship program offered by Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum für Tanz (HZT) and Üniversität der Künste (UdK). Daniel Kok's work has been shown in Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Edinburgh, Berlin and Vienna.
